PG License Renewals

Annually, approximately 30 days before your license expires, you will receive a renewal notice and a continuing education hours acknowledgment form.

If renewing by mail, please complete the acknowledgment form, and submit it with a check payable to the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists (or LBOPG) for $150.00 or, if you are 60 years or older, $100.00. The fee and the completed acknowledgment form should be mailed to the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists (LBOPG), 9643 Brookline Ave., Ste. 101, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.

If renewing online, please select "Pay Online" from the menu options at the top of the web page (lbopg.org) and follow the instructions. By clicking the "I agree" box at checkout, you are certifying that you have completed the continuing education and ethics requirements, so you need not return anything by mail.

An acknowledgment/renewal received more than 60 days after the renewal date will be assessed a $50.00 late renewal penalty fee.
