David B. Culpepper, PG, is Senior Geoscientist with Leaaf Environmental and has over 3 decades of experience in geosciences and environmental consulting.
David has an extensive background in environmental science, specializing in geological hazard identification, environmental remediation, and complex project management. He has overseen environmental assessments and managed projects across the United States, with clients ranging from federal agencies to Fortune 500 companies. Before joining Leaaf, David led The Culpepper Group, LLC, where he managed a geological fault mapping project for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and environmental projects for commercial clients. He is also the founder of NanoFex, LLC, a clean technology company recognized for its innovations in soil and groundwater remediation.
In addition to his project work, David has contributed to environmental governance in Louisiana. He served on the Louisiana State Water Resources Commission and currently sits on the Louisiana State Board of Professional Geoscientists, where he plays an active role in upholding professional standards in the geosciences. When he's not spending time with his grandchildren, David enjoys traveling to destinations like Europe and the Middle East
